New Fairfax County CERT website is up, but we need your input!

Hi folks,

Most of you should have received the email below. If you did, please follow the instructions given.

If you did not, go to and request your password using your first and last name together as your username.

There are some issues with mail going to Cox, Comcast and AOL, that we hope to have remedied soon.

Every CERT volunteer who has taken a class with us should be in the system, if not, please send an email to

Here is the email that was sent out earlier today-

We are pleased to announce the implementation of the Fairfax CERT volunteer management/alert system. This system will keep track of your contact information, CERT certifications, and other pertinent data. It will also be used to schedule training classes and outreach events. And finally, it will serve as the email/alert server used to send out notification of events, incidents, training, and news updates. This site will also be the depository for CERT documents such as the CERT Training Manual, and current forms.

All CERT members will be required to log on to the system to remain active. Once you receive your password, it should only take you a few minutes to review and update your information.

To log on, go to, click on the “Send Password” link on the left, and enter in your username, FIRSTNAMELASTNAME. A password will be sent to your registered email address.

Once you’re logged on, please click on the “Devices” tab. If you have a cell phone listed, please click on the “Edit/Delete” link associated to that device, select the appropriate cell phone carrier in the dropdown menu, delete the @disabled extension from the number, and click the “Update” button. This will ensure that messages will be delivered successfully to your phone.

If you do not have a cell phone listed, we encourage you to register one.

In addition to updating your devices, please also visit the “Profile” tab and update any information in your profile.
